Graeme Todd

Graeme Todd

Graeme has had in excess of 35 years legal experience having first worked as a law clerk whilst completing his full time studies at Otago University and since commencing practice in Queenstown in 1981.

Over the years Graeme has become a trusted legal adviser to his clients including local private and corporate entities, overseas residents and multi national corporations, local authorities and numerous community groups and sporting cubs. During this time one of the things he has enjoyed the most is acting for the increasing number of individuals and families that make up his general practice. Many of these clients have moved with him to TODD & WALKER Law. Graeme acts for second and third generations of the same families which gives a lot of personal satisfaction. He has been involved as adviser in the majority of the significant commercial and property transactions in the Queenstown Lakes District during his time in practice.

Graeme will continue to provide specialist Resource Management / Environmental Law advice as a senior member of the Resource Management Law bar. During his career Graeme has acted on some of the largest Resource Management cases in the Central Otago area

In 2009 Graeme’s service to the law and the community was recognised with his appointment by the Archbishop of Canterbury with a South Island warrant to act as a Notary Public.

Michael Walker

Michael Walker

Michael, like Graeme, was born and bred in Southland before attending Otago University between 2004 – 2008 where he studied law and commerce. Michael graduated from Otago Law School in 2009 and was admitted to the bar in the same year.  Following his admission he moved to the Crown Solicitor’s Office in Auckland to begin his professional career.  Michael spent the first six and a half years of his career in the Commercial and Criminal & Regulatory departments at a top Auckland law firm before returning to the South Island in mid-2015.

From May 2015 Michael began working at QLDC initially as a Senior Solicitor before later becoming General Counsel in 2016. He was renowned to focus on the overall strategic and commercial outcomes of the organisation whilst also managing Council’s litigation portfolio. 

Michael as well as appearing regularly in Courts, Tribunals and other alternative dispute platforms, has advised and practiced in areas including local government and governance, resource management, insurance, procurement and commercial negotiations. As an experienced advocate having appeared in the full hierarchy of criminal matters, including jury trials involving allegations of murder, serious violence, drug manufacture and importation, sexual violation, fraud, arson and appeals against conviction and sentence in both the High Court and Court of Appeal.

Michael is trustee for the regionally significant Queenstown Trails Trust, responsible for the creation and management of the network of cycle and walking trails within the Wakatipu basin.  In addition, he also sits on the board as a director of the Tuatapere Humpridge Track. 

Michael is a Chartered Director of the Institute of Directors in New Zealand.


Ben Gresson

Ben Gresson

Ben recently joined TODD & WALKER Law as a Graduate after completing his LLB at Otago University in 2015.

Born and raised in Auckland but with strong ties to the South Island, he is thrilled to be able to live and work in the vibrant and stunning Queenstown area. Ben is excited to be a part of the important resource management and property work that ensures opportunity for the economic growth while retaining the region’s scenic and environmental value.

Ben is keen on travelling and visiting the outdoors, and enjoys classic Central Otago pastimes such as skiing and golf.


Louise Gill

Louise Gill

Louise is the firm’s Office Administrator and P.A to Graeme.

Louise moved to Queenstown three years ago, having completed her Law degree in the United Kingdom.  She has a strong administrative background and is looking forward to working back in the legal environment.

In her spare time Louise enjoys hiking and camping and never tires of the beautiful Queenstown scenery

Andrea Gilbert

Andrea Gilbert

Andrea is an Associate of TODD & WALKER Law and a Registered Legal Executive who joined Graeme at the commencement of his practice in 2011.  Andrea has worked in law offices in excess of 30 years.  She completed her legal executive qualification in 1992 and is a Fellow of the New Zealand Institute of Legal Executives.  She also completed a Certificate of Small Business Management in 2009. 

Andrea has extensive experience across a number of areas of law including rural, residential and commercial property transactions, refinancing, company formation, trust and estate planning and other associated matters.

Andrea and her family have lived in Queenstown for over 20 years. Andrea has numerous professional, sporting and social connections through her and her family’s involvement in the community.


Jacqui Wilson

Jacqui Wilson

Jacqui joined TODD & WALKER Law as a Legal Executive in 2012. She has in excess of 20 years legal experience, having worked in law offices in South Otago and latterly in Queenstown, since re-locating here with her husband in 2008.

Jacqui’s experience includes rural, residential and commercial property conveyancing transactions, refinancing, company formation, trust and estate planning and other associated matters.

“I have a very close affinity with Queenstown having holidayed here with family since my childhood and it is wonderful to be living and working in this vibrant, majestic town.  It is a privilege to be working alongside the experienced team of legal professionals at TODD & WALKER Law.


Pip Roberts

Pip Roberts

Pip joined TODD & WALKER Law in February 2016 as a solicitor (based in our Frankton office) after spending two years living abroad. 

She graduated from the University of Otago in 2010 with a Bachelor of Laws degree and spent her first three years of practice in Auckland and then Tauranga. 

Pip's expertise is property focused, including residential conveyancing, rural property matters, subdivision and unit title developments. She also advises clients on commercial matters including sale and purchase of shares and general commercial transactions. She has a range of knowledge in areas of family trusts, wills and estates, relationship property and occupation right agreements for retirement living.

Pip is thrilled to be back in New Zealand, close to her family, the ski fields and the beautiful back yard Central Otago has to offer. 


Molly Beauchamp

Molly Beauchamp

Molly is the firm’s Administration Assistant.

She is locally born and bred and enjoys all that Queenstown has to offer.

Prior to joining TODD & WALKER Law Molly was the Manager of a large retail store in Queenstown and during her tenure there she achieved Manager of the Season for 2014.

Molly started her new career path at TODD & WALKER Law in 2015 with the aim of becoming a Registered Legal Executive and is completing her diploma by correspondence with a view to becoming fully qualified by the end of 2017.
