Family Law and Litigation Solicitor

The role

We are on the search for a high-performing solicitor to continue to strengthen our family law team. 

You will be involved in all aspects of our family law practice, including providing advice on matters including Care of Children and guardianship, domestic violence and protection orders, separation, relationship property and contracting out agreements. 

You will also have the opportunity to gain exposure to other litigation matters including criminal defence matters should that interest you. 

Who we are looking for

• NZ admitted junior to intermediate solicitor with 2+ years PQE with family law experience. Your experience may have been developed from time spent working in a specialist family law practice or exposure to family law through general litigation experience;
• Experience in drafting Court proceedings and documents;
• Strong legal research skills;
• Strong communication skills;
• A practical thinker who is accurate and detail-focused;
• A self-starter who is a motivated worker with the ability to work independently to deliver results but also enjoys being part of a team; and
• Someone who has a pro-active and enthusiastic approach to their work and a genuine continued interest in developing their practice.
