Ben is a Graduate Solicitor in the firm’s litigation team and works closely with Principals Michael Walker and Louise Denton and the wider litigation team.
Ben assists the litigation team across a range of disciplines including criminal defence, employment, civil litigation, dispute resolution and family law matters. He regularly assists with legal research, drafting documents, and providing general legal support.
Ben began his legal studies at the University of Otago and continued to complete his degree at Victoria University of Wellington. Ben graduated with a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Arts (majoring in Political Science and minoring in Māori Studies) in 2021 and has recently been admitted to the Bar.
Prior to joining TODD & WALKER Law, Ben worked for a professional regulatory body and undertook work experience with a criminal defence barrister.
Ben is a local to the Central Otago area having been born and raised in Cromwell, before boarding at Otago Boys High School and then attending Otago University before moving to Wellington to complete his studies at Victoria University. Ben enjoys being back in Cromwell where outside of work he regularly enjoys biking, skiing and getting out on the lake.
