Associate/Senior Associate - Property and Private Client

PQE: 5+ years PQE

Hours: Full-Time     Location: Wānaka

We are looking for an experienced solicitor to join our growing property and private client team as an Associate or Senior Associate.

About the role

You will be involved in key aspects of our property and private client practice, including advising on the sale and acquisition of residential and commercial property, construction contracts, leasing, trusts, asset planning and estate administration.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a dynamic and forward-thinking team. You will receive the benefit of working in a supportive environment with supervision from our highly experienced property and private client Partners and Senior Associates.

This is considered a senior role within the firm and the role offers great opportunities for long-term career development. You will assist with mentoring more junior members of the team and will be a key contact for the firm’s extensive private client practice.

What we are looking for in a candidate

• A New Zealand admitted solicitor with 5+ years PQE with strong technical property law knowledge and skills;
• Experience in asset planning and private client matters including specialised knowledge on trust law;
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the strength to build on existing client relationships and to develop your own referral network;
• Someone who can work independently to deliver results and who also enjoys working closely with others as part of a supportive team; and
• Someone with a confident, proactive, and enthusiastic approach to their work and a genuine continued interest in developing their practice.
