Maddy Masterton is a Solicitor in the firm’s employment and family teams.

Maddy regularly advises both employers and employees on a wide range of workplace employment matters. Maddy is experienced in reviewing and drafting employment agreements and workplace policies, managing disciplinary or performance management processes and assisting with workplace change, including redundancy and restructuring. 

Maddy also has extensive experience in family and relationship property law. She regularly assists with care of children and guardianship matters, family violence proceedings, relationship property division and contracting out agreements.

Her courtroom experience spans appearances in the Family Court as junior cunsel, District Court, and High Court, where she has represented clients in cases involving family violence, care of children, relationship property, and even criminal and company liquidation proceedings.

Maddy graduated from the University of Otago with a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Arts, majoring in Politics, and with minors in Sociology and History.
