Paige works closely alongside Michael Walker and Louise Denton in Todd & Walker’s criminal defence team.
Paige is a duty lawyer and Legal Aid provider; she offers private instructions and regularly appears in the Queenstown, Invercargill and Alexandra District Courts. Paige also regularly appears as counsel in jury and judge-alone trials, and has appeared on High Court appeals.
Paige’s experience includes discharge without conviction applications, limited licences, sentencing and applications for re-sentencing. She has a wealth of experience with the Land Transport Act 1998 and particularly, driving and alcohol related convictions, alcohol interlocks and section 94 applications.
In addition to her role in criminal defence and court work, Paige also provides advice as part of the employment and health and safety team.
Prior to joining the Todd & Walker team, Paige gained a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Arts in History and Economics at the University of Canterbury. She was admitted to the Bar in Christchurch and appeared in the High Court in Auckland as junior for a private prosecution.
Paige says she “wanted to become a criminal lawyer from day dot.” She prides herself on helping people and says she enjoys “learning from the best” as part of Todd & Walker’s experienced and knowledgeable team.
